Update 7/25/24: There used to be an interactive SmartBar here, but since ComicServer’s deprecation, it has been removed.
The SmartBar is going through major improvements in the new flagship Muncie version.
But First...
This version achieves an honor not seen since March 17, 2021. On the 18th, Muncie will become the single-longest running version in ComicServer history since v2 did on the aforementioned date. We’re so happy just to get to almost three years of ComicServer, not to mention that almost one third of it was spent with Muncie.
What’s New?
Muncie X upgrades the SmartBar in order to make ComicServer the most easy to use yet. The SmartBar (which can be interactively used above) is now capable of changing searching regularly, editing favorites, and even using AI to generate experimental comic strips. We created the SmartBar in Muncie 1 because we wanted to make it as easy as possible to use ComicServer through one aspect of the webpage. SmartBar has been a constant through all of the Muncie versions since May 2022, and we’ve finally decided to fully embrace the initial meaning of the iconic element.
AI Image Generation
We use the open-source alternative of DALL-E, Stable Diffusion. Our AI tool is an admittedly experimental feature that lets you get a glimpse of the future in comic strip form. It’s as easy as typing a prompt under AI-generated comic and we’ll add on an “A comic strip about” prefix to the chosen prompt. We added this feature to show the capability of AI image generation and systems other than DALL-E (which might be coming soon)
In Conclusion, we are very excited for Muncie 10’s part in the Muncie line, acting as the Cesium/Meadow of the Muncie line by bringing the version back to it’s main purpose. Toodles!
