Control Daily is the new service that takes over for the old ComicServer App connection with ComicServer Daily.
Control Daily allows addition and deletion of comics by interacting with the GitHub API, in which GitHub Actions is used to run ComicServer Daily as a Cron Job every day. Since the deprecation of ComicServer, and the reintroduction (although limited) of ComicServer Daily, there hasn’t been a solution to the Favorites Sync that used to connect ComicServer and Daily and let you edit your “runthrough” on ComicServer which effects favorites on Daily. This changes that.
This could be an even better solution than ComicServer, because with the original solution, there were three available options for accounts: App-only, Daily-only, and ComicServer Connect. This led to complications which led to the “Delete Account” feature to be disabled (and a Google Form was used for deletion instead). Now, there is only one account: Daily-only. Instead of merging two accounts, Control Daily is adopting the data and credentials of Daily and simplifying the process.
